يستعد منتخب الكاميرون لمواجهة نظيره منتخب غينيا في إطار مباريات الجولة الأولى من دور المجموعات في مسابقة كأس أمم أفريقيا المقامة في ساحل العاج.

ويسعى منتخب الكاميرون بقيادة مديره الفني ريجوبرت سونج لتحقيق لقب كأس أمم أفريقيا للمرة السادسة في تاريخ الأسود، بعد تحقيقها أعوام 1984 و1988 و2000 و2002 و2017.

وتأخر وصول طائرة حارس مانشستر يونايتد أندريه أونانا إلى كوت ديفوار للمشاركة مع المنتخب الكاميروني في لقاء غينيا بسبب سوء الأحوال الجوية.

جدير بالذكر أن تستضيف ساحل العاج بطولة كأس أمم أفريقيا للمرة الثانية في تاريخها بعدما استضافتها عام 1984 للمرة الأولى، وهي النسخة الرابعة والثلاثون من المسابقة.
